SEASONAL SELF CARE >> REST. RESTORE. REVIVE.
A series of three short videos in which our STUDIO SOMA teachers Benjamin Black, Liz Allan, & Flora Wellesley Wesley share their favourite ‘time out’ practices. These can be used separately as a short moment of pause, or put together one after the other for a longer restorative experience.
>> EPISODE 1: SOMATIC BREATHING MEDITATION
Follow Liz’s guidance to deepen into ten minutes of guided somatic meditation with a focus on the breath. Allow yourself to soften, finding ease & spaciousness as you guide your breath to different parts of yourself. Take ten minutes to calm the breath, connect to your sensations, & make space for you.
Liz teaches our regular weekly >> YOGA: FLOW & RESTORE classes on Tuesdays. Check out our timetable & book your place now to join her classes from the beginning of January 2022.
>> EPISODE 2: NOTICING YOUR PHYSICAL SELF
Follow Flora’s guidance to deepen into ten minutes of guided sensory awareness with a focus on reconnecting to your whole self. Take a short pause to attend to each part of yourself, exploring how moving your awareness around can bring you home to yourself & allow all of you to be present in this moment.
Flora teaches our regular >> LAUGHTER YOGA FOR ALL classes. Check out our NEW YEAR SELF-CARE workshop series & book your place now to join her ‘Embodying Happiness’ workshop in January 2022.
>> EPISODE 3: GENTLE ROLLING TO RELEASE
Follow Ben’s guidance through this short movement meditation to ground your senses & release built-up strain & tension. Choosing a pace & a range that allows you to soften & to sense deeper into yourself as you move, use these ten minutes to look for comfort, smoothness, & a sense of ease.
Benjamin teaches weekly Feldenkrais classes at STUDIO SOMA; check out our timetable & book your place now to join a class from the beginning of January 2022.
